FRIDAY
“Satan’s Game Plan”

1 John 2:15-16
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.

God’s plan for the believer is amazing because God’s plan is based on GRACE. Satan has a plan as well and it is nothing new. It is predictable. Many people have noticed that Satan used the same game plan in both the Garden of Eden and the temptation of Christ. First, satan appealed to the lust of the flesh. Second, satan appealed to the lust of the eyes. Third, satan appealed to the pride of life. Here is another way of looking at this…

Satan Offers Us Ways To:
•Do something apart from God’s will
•Have something apart from God’s will
•Be something apart from God’s will

QUOTE: “We can have the happiness God gives; why should we settle for the cheap substitute Satan offers? We can have the success of living righteously and pleasing our heavenly Father; why should we settle for the brief and disappointing successes sin produces? By God’s grace we can have the peace that passes understanding; why should we settle for the cheap satisfactions that everyone understands but that will soon pass?”
