Leadership & Ministry Experience
With more than 25 years of leadership across education, ministry, and organizational development, Dr. Cutchins brings both depth and practical wisdom to the individuals and organizations he serves.
He currently serves as Executive Director and Professor of Pastoral Leadership at Southern Evangelical Seminary (SES), where he has invested for more than 17 years — including service on the Board of Trustees.
Dr. Cutchins also serves as Teaching Pastor and Multi-Site Specialist at First Baptist Simpsonville / Upstate Church, recently recognized by Outreach Magazine as one of the ten fastest-growing churches in the nation.

From 2016 to 2024, Dr. Cutchins served as Senior Pastor of a 3,000-member congregation with a 90+ member team and the state’s largest weekday education program. Under his leadership, the church baptized hundreds, eliminated millions in debt, and became debt-free for the first time since the 1980s. He also served at the state level on the South Carolina Baptist Convention’s Executive Board and nationally as a pastoral leadership coach with the North American Mission Board.

In 2023, Dr. Cutchins founded TCI Solutions—a leadership development organization offering coaching, consulting, and Christian counseling for high-capacity leaders and mission-driven organizations. Built on a collaborative team model, TCI combines trusted expertise with personal care to serve clients across education, healthcare, business, and ministry. His consulting work has produced measurable results across industries. One medical practice experienced a 29% revenue increase in the first quarter of working with him, positioning the practice for sustainable growth and patient-centered excellence.

In addition to his academic work, Dr. Cutchins has pursued extensive professional training. He completed executive education through Harvard Online, earning certificates in Health Care Economics, Strategy, and Innovations in Teamwork. He is also a Certified Cultural Intelligence (CQ) Facilitator and Trainer, a Coach Builder Guide for the Small Business Flight Plan with Donald Miller, and certified in the *Full Focus Planner System with Michael Hyatt,equipping leaders to streamline operations, grow revenue, and build sustainable productivity.

Personal Life & Legacy
Stephen lives in Augusta, Georgia, with his wife Wendy and their two daughters. Once a trumpet professor and band director, now a pastor and coach — he brings creativity, presence, and a deep sense of spiritual calling into every relationship.
